Lenskart Solutions reported a strong performance in the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q2 FY27), with its consolidated net profit more than doubling from a year earlier. The eyewear retailer’s shares surged nearly 11% during Thursday’s trading session, November 5, hitting a fresh all-time high as investors welcomed the company’s earnings growth, higher sales and improving operating performance.
The company’s consolidated net profit jumped 122.1% year-on-year to ₹227.08 crore in the July-September quarter, compared with ₹102.22 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations increased 35.7% to ₹2,845.03 crore, against ₹2,096.14 crore in Q2 FY26.
The results reflect growing demand for eyewear, expansion across domestic and international markets and an improvement in the company’s operating efficiency. Lenskart has also benefited from increasing sales volumes and a growing preference for premium eyewear products.
Investors responded positively to the quarterly earnings, pushing Lenskart shares higher on the BSE and NSE on November 5.
The stock opened at ₹745.05 on the BSE and climbed 11.05% to touch an intraday record of ₹767.40, compared with its previous closing price of ₹691. The shares were trading around ₹732.15, up 6.13%, at approximately 10.25 am.
The rally followed the company’s announcement of its September-quarter results on November 4. Lenskart shares had already closed 3.37% higher at ₹693.70 on Wednesday ahead of the earnings announcement.
The latest gains reflect improving investor confidence in the company’s growth prospects following its strong quarterly performance. The stock has also delivered substantial returns since its stock market listing, supported by expectations of continued expansion in India’s organised eyewear market.
Lenskart’s domestic business remained a major contributor to its performance during the September quarter.
Revenue from operations in India increased 35.3% year-on-year to ₹1,668 crore, compared with ₹1,233 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company’s international business also recorded healthy growth. Revenue from overseas operations increased 29.5% to ₹1,201 crore, against ₹928 crore in Q2 FY26.
The growth indicates that Lenskart is gradually strengthening its presence beyond India while continuing to benefit from rising demand in its home market.
The company’s strategy of combining physical retail outlets with online sales has helped it reach customers across different markets. Its expansion into smaller cities and growing focus on premium products have also supported sales.
Lenskart added 165 net new stores during the quarter, taking its total global store network to 3,624. India accounted for 143 of these additions, including 94 stores in Tier 2 and smaller markets. The company also entered 61 new cities in India.
Its international operations added another 22 stores during the quarter, strengthening its presence across overseas markets.
Apart from higher revenue and net profit, Lenskart reported an improvement in operating performance.
Its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), before the impact of Ind AS 116, increased 65% year-on-year to ₹392 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹237 crore a year earlier.
The EBITDA margin expanded to 13.8% from 11.1% in the corresponding quarter last year. This improvement indicates that the company is becoming more efficient at converting its revenue into operating earnings.
Higher sales volumes, better product margins and increasing scale across manufacturing and distribution have supported the improvement.
The company’s product margin remained healthy at 70%, compared with 69.2% a year earlier, despite currency-related pressures.
Lenskart also conducted 80 lakh eye tests globally during the quarter, marking a 40.4% increase from the year-ago period. The number of eyewear units sold rose 27.1% to 1.1 crore.
Its Lenskart Gold membership programme crossed one crore active members in India, reaching 1.03 crore by the end of September. The membership base increased 38.6% year-on-year, highlighting the growing engagement of repeat customers.
Lenskart’s performance during the first six months of FY27 also reflected strong business momentum.
For the April-September period, the company’s revenue increased 33% year-on-year to ₹5,559 crore. Its profit after tax reached ₹461 crore, equivalent to 87% of the profit it recorded during the entire FY26 financial year.
The company also generated ₹388 crore in operating cash flow during the first half of FY27, while its return on capital employed improved to 22.5% from 14.6% in FY26.
Lenskart is continuing to invest in manufacturing, technology, retail expansion and customer services to support its long-term growth plans. Its manufacturing facilities and technology-led eye-testing services are expected to play an important role in improving operational capacity.
The company is also expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities across customer service, employee training, inventory planning and manufacturing.
For Lenskart, the latest quarterly results mark another strong step in its growth journey. With rising eyewear demand, an expanding store network and improving profitability, the company is looking to strengthen its position in India’s organised eyewear market while building a larger international business.
The immediate market reaction suggests that investors are encouraged by its earnings momentum. However, sustaining the pace of revenue growth and profitability while funding further expansion will remain important as the company enters the second half of FY27.
