HP on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) launched the refreshed Omen 16 gaming laptop in India, targeting performance-hungry gamers with upgraded processors, powerful GPUs, and AI-driven customisation features. The new device comes in multiple configurations, offering customers a choice between Intel’s 14th Gen Core HX-series or AMD’s Ryzen 9 processors, paired with up to Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU with 12 GB GDDR6 VRAM.

The Omen 16 is designed to deliver sustained high performance, with support for up to 170W Total Processor Power (TPP) and 115W GPU power. To ensure stability during long gaming sessions, HP has introduced a re-engineered cooling system featuring new fan-cleaning technology. This system can reverse fan rotation to eject dust, helping prevent heat build-up and ensuring consistent peak performance. The cooling features are fully accessible via the Omen Gaming Hub, HP’s proprietary control center for performance tuning, thermals, and system monitoring.

A major highlight is the inclusion of Omen AI, a smart optimisation layer that uses machine learning to recommend power modes, thermal settings, and game-specific performance tweaks. The laptop also features per-key RGB customisable lighting, complemented by an optional under-chassis RGB light bar. Both are managed through Omen Light Studio, giving gamers granular control over lighting profiles and sync options across devices.

Powering the laptop is a 6-cell 83Wh battery with fast-charge support, capable of charging from 0–50% in around 30 minutes. The HP Omen 16 gaming laptop is available starting at ₹1,29,999, with higher-end models going above ₹2,00,000 depending on configuration. It will be sold through the HP Online Store, HP World retail outlets, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, and other leading partners.
